Cube introduced their new race-ready Stereo 150 enduro 29er this past spring, and now with the EWS finals around the corner the bike gets a pro Action Team treatment as well. Plus for the 2019 lineup the popular AMS 100 trail bike gets a more aggressive setup, as the women’s Sting 140 gets a carbon frame update.

2019 Cube Stereo 150 C:68 Action Team 29 enduro bike

We got an early, wet look at Cube Action Team EWS pro Greg Callaghan’s new Stereo 150 29er a while back (riding photo above courtesy of Lars Scharl), in fact before the wraps officially came off the new 1×12 XTR group. So we got to see that new Stereo 150 can be built up with both a double drivetrain, and a Di2 electronic setup.

The team bike shares the same top-level C:68 carbon frame that we test rode in the spring and came away grinning – an efficient climber and even more capable descender. A bike that debuted a year ago at the Finale Ligure EWS finals.

The proper team edition Stereo 150 C:68 Action Team 29  though gets a new XTR 1x build, including an e*thirteen LG1+ chainguide mounted to its ISCG tabs, and Kashima-coated factory Fox suspension – a 160mm 36 FLoat fork, 150mm of travel with a Float X2 shock, and a Transfer dropper post.

The 6000€ team replica build also includes an alloy DT Swiss EX1501 30mm internal wheelset, sticky Addix Soft Super Gravity Schwalbe tires, and RaceFace bar & stem.

2019 Cube AMS 100 C:68 TM 29

For next season Cube’s 100mm travel AMS cross-country & marathon full-suspension bike gets a bit of a boosted update. The TM in the name of the 29er isn’t to be confused with a Team edition bike. Instead it means Trail Motion, and the new bike stretches out with a longer travel fork & fatter tires to make it climb like an XC racer and descend like a trail bike.

The new 4000€ AMS 100 C:68 TM 29 features the top-level carbon XC framset, with a new longer travel 120mm Fox 34 Factory fork with remote lockout and a Transfer Factory dropper post. Drivetrain is a trail-ready GX Eagle setup, with XT hydro brakes including the new M8020 four piston caliper up front.

Rolling stock is a 30mm internal Newman Evolution SL alloy wheelset wrapped in 2.35″ Schwalbe Nobby Nic tires, adding up to an 11.9kg/26.2lb claimed complete bike weight.

2019 Cube Sting WS 140 Race 27.5 women’s trail bike

Cube’s all-mount Sting 140 is the women’s analog to their Stereo 140 platform, and it also got a mid-season carbon update this year. Using the same construction as the men’s bike, it gets a base-level HPC carbon front triangle paired to a 6061 aluminum rear end.

This all-around women’s trail bike gets the latest in low, long & slack modern trail geometry. It shares the same small 16″ & medium 18″ geometry as the men get, but adds in a third tiny 13.5″ extra small to fit a wider range of aggressive trail riders.

The 2500€ Cube Sting WS 140 Race 27.5 gets built up with a Shimano XT double and Magura MT Trail brakes. It features a 150mm travel Fox 34 Rythmn fork and Fox Float DPS EVOL shock for 140mm of rear wheel travel, plus a Cube branded dropper post.
