  •  Blood Road & Rebecca Rusch wins an Emmy – Adventurous mountain biker Rebecca Rusch who just so happens to have a lot more titles like MTB world champion, race promoter, and part-time firefighter, got a new one. She is now an Emmy winner for the ‘Outstanding Graphic Design and Art Direction’ in her documentary Blood Road made with Red Bull in 2017 chronicling her expedition along the Ho Chi Minh Trail to find where her father crashed and died during the Vietnam War. Gear & Deals

  • Gravel-specific Fizik bar tape, seriously – We’ve seen gravel bikes, gravel tires, gravel riding kit, gravel shoes. Now we have gravel tape. Fizik’s new 2019 bartape lineup includes the new Terra “specially designed for gravel, its Bondcush polymer foam is paired with a sticky gel backing that soaks up vibrations… and Terra’s raised Tacky texture means you won’t slip”. The 3mm thick tape cost 38€ a roll in a rang e of solid colors and eliminates adhesive tape backing. Get it or the more conventional road Vento ribbed or perforated Tempo bar tapes all straight from: Fizik.com

  • A compact Candy Cane travel pillow with 20 modes – Because we all need to be well rested when we get to our riding destination. This travel pillow that popped up on Kickstarter (and already has been funded) packs down so small – the size of an apple – that I might actually remember to bring it on both my next bikepacking trip and my next flight. I’ll be honest, I hate dealing with transporting a travel pillow, and I’ve suffered a bit by not having a comfy place to lay my head. I guess that will get solved when these start shipping next March. Kickstarter.com

  • Save up to 40% on Campagnolo clothing –  Campy is running a end-of-season clearance to offload some remaining stock, even of their latest new riding kit. We’ve ridden in their high performance C-Tech kit and the Titanio which both are solid warm weather performers. And where else are you going to find a Campagnolo Tracksuit to lounge around at your local bike shop / coffee shop? Campagnolo.com

  • Save 35% and more on Moots clothing, too – Clearly it’s end of season sale time. Moots’ Fall Sale has deals on riding kit, tees & other small bits. Save 35%+ on jerseys, bib shorts, socks & water bottles. 40% off select t-shirts. Moots.myshopify.com
