Looking to fine tune your pedaling dynamics for this season’s cyclocross racing? Or just start getting your legs used to something new for next spring’s gravel grinders? The Rotor Q-Rings latest 1x road chainrings come in CX and gravel friendly tooth counts and are shipping now.

Introduced at Sea Otter, their new Vegast and Aldhu modular cranksets can be paired with their one-piece machined double crankset for traditional road bike setups. And now, their 1x road chainrings are shipping in 38, 40, 42 and 44 tooth counts and will use the same direct-mount interface. Which means they’ll also work with Rotor’s INpower and 2INpower power meter cranksets, also.

Weighing in at just 92g (claimed, 40-tooth), the use Rotor’s QRing oval design. With 12.5% ovalization and a clocking that they’ve refined over the years as one of the original brands to make non-round chainrings, they say you’ll feel less dead spot during your pedal stroke. And, for cyclocross, they say it helps with quick accelerations out of corners and sloppy spots, too. Thanks to the OCD spline pattern, you can adjust them forward or backward slightly, too, to better work with your own pedal stroke.

Need (or want) something bigger? They also have single 1x road direct mount chainrings running up to 54 teeth…it’s the smaller sizes that are new and fresh. Retail is $130 for tooth counts up to 48t, and $150 for the bigger ones. They also offer then in round rings with no ovalization for $115 to $130.
