The Gorilla Monsoon was already a bit of a standout thanks to the 27.5 x 2.4″ tires and drop bars. Now, the mythical beast is gaining even more versatility thanks to the addition of a dropper post for 2019. This comes along with new colors and specification for the Gorilla Monsoon, as well as the Big Block, and Space Horse Disc.

To operate the dropper with drop bars, All-City has opted for a simple handlebar remote located near the stem. The TranzX dropper is a 30.9mm diameter with 80mm of travel which should be just enough to get the seat out of the way when you’re really getting after it. True to All-City form, the frame has a lovely internal routing port for the dropper cable just above the bottom bracket on the back of the seat tube.

The 612 Select Cromoly steel frame and 4130 Cromoly fork feature 142×12 and 15x100mm thru axle spacing with details like a threaded bottom bracket, and rack & fender mounts.

Available in a frameset or complete build for $850 or $2099, both have a green fade paint job. Check out the full Gorilla Monsoon Spec and Details here.

The Space Horse Disc rolls in with a classy striped design on a predominantly black frame with a 2×10 SRAM Apex WiFli drivetrain.

The disc only bike offers 700c x 42mm tire clearance for most sizes, while the smallest two 43/46cm bikes get 650b wheels and tires with a 45mm clearance.

The Gorilla looks great! The dropper is a cool addition but having the lever on the bar top isn’t very usable. Having it connected to a front shift lever would be much more functional.

I was going to comment that it’s crazy they would sell a fixie without brakes, but then I looked at the specs: front brake installed, rear included in box.

Still holding out hope for an updated Nature Boy with Cosmic Stallion tubing and Surly’s thru axle slider…

I put a dropper on my Haka and it changed the bike. This integration seems horrible with the lever on the bars. I put mine on the left side shifter that is not needed when running a 1x setup.
