Instead of mixing machined alloy and plastic into one pedal, e*thirteen split the two – now offering the nylon Base & alloy Plus pedals sharing the same replaceable pin placement as that first LG1.

Both pairs of new e*thirteen flat pedals share the same concave platform body design & 22 replaceable traction pins to offer solid grip for technical riding. The cross design puts a couple of pins close to the axle in the middle of the pedal body like the original LG1, for extra traction even if your foot gets kicked out of line riding rough trails. Both materials still allow for a low profile design to minimize rock strikes, and come in three color (red, blue & black) options to match your latest long, low & slack enduro bike.
e*thirteen nylon Base flat pedals – Tech details
The Base pedals get a reinforced injection molded nylon composite body for light weight & impact resistance, and spin on a single inboard bushing & a single outboard bearing.
The new composite plastic Base pedals sell for $49/50€, but with a weight of just 392g for the pair are actually lighter than the previous ti spindle LG1r pedals that cost more than 6x as much. The plastic Base pedals are available now from The Hive.
e*thirteen alloy Plus flat pedals – Tech details
The Plus pedals use a stiffer CNC-machined aluminum body with a single large inboard bearing & two smaller outboard bearings that are rebuildable.
The alloy Plus pedals sell for $139/140€ and claim 410g for the pair, more than 10% lighter than the original LG1+ pedals for almost the same price. The Plus pedals are slated for August 15 availability.
