Real quick, if you’re not European, the concept of an urban full suspension e-mountain bike may seem foreign. But they’re a big category. With so many old-world dirt roads, cobbled paths and “gravel” roads connecting towns and villages, they’re a popular transportation option.
Heck, we’ve even them used in alpine villages to get to mountain top restaurants for dinner, then swoop down the forest roads home, lights blazing. And that’s one of the spots where the latest Trek Powerfly eMTB fits in.
The other? On the singletrack, of course…
Trek Powerfly FS eMTB trail bike
We’ll start with the standard model, designed as a full suspension e-mountain bike for those just getting into the sport. Or those wanting something simple for XC to light trail riding.
With 100mm rear travel and a 120mm suspension fork, it’s mild enough to introduce e-biking to any rider. And, with a more upright rider position and simplified suspension controls, it does seem aimed at the intermedia rider (those wanting more travel and more aggressive geometry can look to the Trek Rail).
