Aimed at the enthusiast road rider, the new Look 765 Optimum road bike is made for long rides on any road, in any conditions. This all-new version of the 765 replaces the prior models with a completely new, lighter frame and fork, fresh geometry, and updated standards.
With clearance for 700x34mm tires, and endurance geometry (higher stack, shorter reach) that puts the rider in a more upright position with fewer spacers, but that’s just the start.
The seatstays use Look’s 3D WAVE Technology, which uses integrated flex zones and specific shaping to reduce vibrations by up to 20% over their race bikes.
At the bottom bracket, there’s a mix of carbon and glass fibers to enhance the ride quality further, adding more damping without giving up stiffness. It also switches to the T47 bottom bracket standard.
Up front, cables run under the stem into a ported headset cap, hiding everything inside the frame and fork for a clean look.
Hidden fender mounts on the frame, fork, and dropouts let you run front and rear protection (with minimal if any tire size reduction necessary) without messing up the aesthetics of the bike.
Capturing the wheels now are standard thru axles, gone are the Speed Release thru axles. While they (and we) like those, making the switch was a matter of convenience and spare parts availability for consumers.
