Looking for a new bike helmet? You know, something for riding around the neighborhood, the bike path, or riding to work that doesn’t cost a fortune or look like an alien attacking your brain? LEM’s new Express Bike Helmet is proof that you can still get a helmet packed with features for a reasonable price.

Called the Express, this helmet is designed as a great option for casual rides where protection and performance are still just as important. Starting with their LEM Tech Integrated PC shell with in-mold EPS foam, the helmet gets additional safety added in the form of their GelMotion tech.

The system offers claims similar to other helmet safety technologies we’ve seen recently (Kali LDL, Leatt Turbine, etc.)  with gel inserts that claim to dissipate both linear and rotational forces.

For a different kind of safety, the helmet offers a built-in LED rear light with three modes. And for even more visibility, choose the hi-viz yellow option. All colors include reflective strap webbing and rear and side decals as well.

Built with 11 vents, the helmet uses their FS2 fit system and three shell sizes to offer the best fit. The visor is removable, and can be snapped back on when needed, and the inside of the helmet features LEM Fresh anti-bacterial/anti-microbial lined pads.

Now the best part—even with the integrated light and safety tech usually found on more expensive helmets, the LEM Express sells for just $55.
