You should know by now, that Airborne is back albeit with a slightly different direction. Gone are their bevy of reasonably priced Ti frames, only for the reborn company to now focus on a range of capable, durable, and affordable bikes. At Sea Otter 2010, Airborne released 6 new models effectively relaunching the company. One year later, they return to Sea Otter, this time with 3 important bikes currently absent from their line up.

Check out the new rigs after the break!

First up, is perhaps Airbone’s most surprising, and quite possibly most desirable bike to date. Why? Because it’s a cross bike, it has disc brakes, it’s equipped with Sram Apex, and it’s cheap! Even as more companies begin to offer complete cross bikes that come disc brake equipped right out of the box, for $1099, the Airbone Delta looks to be a serious contender.

The Delta will feature an aluminum frame with an integrated headset, and BB3o bottom bracket. Component wise, in addition to the full Sram Apex Group, it will be equipped with an FSA Gossamer BB30 46/36 cranksset, Alex RACE 24 Wheelset, and FSA bars, stem, and post. Deltas will be offered in 5 sizes, 50, 53, 55, 57, and 59cm frames. Notice as well, that even though the Delta is meant to be a potent Cross racer, it is still offered with braze ons for bottle cages, racks, and fenders which will make it excellent for commuting as well. Race on Sunday, commute to work on Monday.

Up next, is a new hard tail mountain bike. Yes, it’s a 29’er, no, it’s not carbon. Regardless of your feelings towards 29’ers, it’s pretty clear that as a bike manufacturer, you need to have one in your offerings. Airborne is no different, and due to the conspicuous lack of any big wheel love in their line up, the Goblin 29’er was born.

For the low price of $1,199, you can pick up a Cool Aid green Goblin, complete with a Sram X7 2X10 drivetrain, an 80mm RockShox Reba RL 29 Dual Air w/Lock-Out, and Avid Elixir R hydraulic disc brakes. Goblins can be had in 16, 18, 20, and 22 inch frames, but only in Cool Aid Green.

Finally, with an all mountain, freeride, and DH bike already available, it was only a matter of time before Airborne got in on the dirt jump action. The Wingman (go ahead and insert corny wingman joke here), is based on a burly aluminum frame with respectably short (15.5″) chainstays. In the picture directly above, the set up makes it look sort of goofy (saddle position, and white parts on white background), but if you look at the actual picture of the 5 Wingmen above, the bike looks pretty good.

$749.95 will get you a Satin Gunmetal, 6061 hydroformed aluminum frame Winman with a Marzocchi Bomber DJ-3 fork, full FUNN cockpit, Alex FR-30 wheels, and Tektro Auriga Comp hydraulic discs.

If you are attending Sea Otter, feel free to stop by their booth for a test ride!
