Californian reader Ryan Steers sent in his photo with the tagline that “Fall has arrived!” He’s made the switch with fall here and cyclocross season underway of “swapping fat tires for skinny and pushing the limits of a rigid drop bar machine.” On this early morning ride in Oak Park, CA he headed out “at sunrise in dense cold fog and climbed 1500ft to China Flats to burst above the marine layer” and get this view just after the sun started to break through.

We always love seeing photos from where you are riding and are happy to share them with our readers around the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your pics with a brief description here.

No disrespect intended…..but is riding a CX bike on technical rocky trails really..fun? Or, is it just part of the Spartan warrior ethic?

Great photo. Which saddle is that?

It’s the stock Fabric saddle. Super comfy. And yes, rocky trails are fun on any bike but the skinnier the tires the more you have to focus and pick your lines. Makes me faster when I hop on the MTB.
