Adicta Labs, a sustainable cycling apparel brand from BMC, just announced a new gravel collection.

Designed to meet the demands of gravel and multi-day adventures, the two-piece collection features extra storage and a relaxed fit, Adicta Labs said in a press release.

The “eco-conscious” Quartz gravel capsule represents a left turn for the brand, which has long focused on road riding. With the Quartz Tech Tee and Quartz Bib Shorts, Adicta Labs offers apparel designed specifically for “the volatile demands of gravel,” the company said. It’s the latest bike company to hop on the gravel craze, joining household names like Specialized, which released its own gravel collection earlier this year.

Adicta Labs, however, has an explicit focus on sustainability, and that includes its latest apparel. Both pieces of clothing meet Bluesign Certification, meaning safe for the environment, workers and customers. They also fulfill the Global Recycled Standard, the company said.

Quartz Tech Tee and Quartz Bib Shorts

Adicta Labs designed both the Quartz Tech Tee and Quartz Bib Shorts to meet the demands of all-terrain adventure riding.

The Quartz Tech Tee uses two recycled fabrics from Italy in its construction. It features a lightweight and breathable front panel and UV protection, along with mesh on the back. The fabric doesn’t cling to the body, the company said, to suit the “more relaxed” style of gravel. As gravel riding often involves long distances, the shirt has a large zipped pocket on the back and an internal pocket for valuables. Color options for the shirt include Light Gray or Mustard.

Like the shirt, the Quartz Bib Shorts complement riders focused on long-distance trips off the tarmac. They’re breathable, moisture-wicking and designed with a “gravel-tuned insert.” Also made with recycled Italian fabrics, the shorts have UV protection and are especially suited to mixed-terrain, Adicta Labs said.

Cargo pockets on the outer leg panel and a zipped pocket on the back provide additional storage. The company also claims that a compressive fit around the shorts’ legs helps offset muscle fatigue. Currently, Adicta Labs only offers the Bib Shorts in French Navy blue.
