Belgian bearing specialists C-Bear have added a new set of fast spinning ceramic bearing derailleur pulleys to lower drivetrain friction for the latest SRAM road AXS groupsets. With the new AXS pulleys, C-Bear offers ceramic bearing upgrades for every 12-speed drivetrain on & off-road.
C-Bear ceramic pulleys for SRAM Red & Force eTap AXS
The new C-Bear SRAM road AXS pulleys use a machined Delrin pulley wheel like the new Red & Force eTap AXS derailleurs, with the same 12T upper & lower specific tooth shaping as the stock pulleys. C-Bear offers the SRAM road AXS pulley pairs either with their hybrid ceramic bearings for 98€ (ceramic balls & steel races; available now) or fully ceramic bearings for 169€ (ceramic balls & races; currently in production & available soon).
The logic is that derailleur pulleys are the fastest spinning bearings on your bike, so upgrading there to ceramic bearings is the “most effective” way to lower drivetrain friction. They offer ceramic bearing pulleys, developed specifically for both road & mountain derailleurs.
12-speed road ceramic pulleys – Campagnolo 12
If you have bought a new Campy 12 groupset – Super Record EPS, Super Record mechanical, Record, or Chorus mechanical – you can also get the C-Bear treatment for 89€ with hybrid ceramic or 169€ for full ceramic bearing pulleys (both available now). Again with solid 12T Delrin pulleys, these are the same that Lotto Soudal has been racing since the start of 2019.
12-speed mountain ceramic pulleys – SRAM Eagle
C-Bear has done 12-speed MTB pulleys for quite a while to suit SRAM Eagle, and now Eagle eTap AXS derailleurs. The machined open narrow-wide alloy pulleys feature hybrid ceramic bearings, and sell for 119€.
12-speed mountain ceramic pulleys – Shimano MTB 1x
The latest additions to 12-speed MTB pulleys are for Shimano groups. Now with more 1×12 drivetrains available now, you can upgrade XTR M9100, XT M8100 & SLX M7100 right out of the box to spin more smoothly. All three groups share the same smooth-toothed 13T machined alloy pulley wheels for 119€ with hybrid ceramic bearings.
