First, let me start by saying that if you aren’t on the mailing list for Camp and Go Slow’s newsletter, The Western Tattler, you need to be. And, you can do so here. Today, Camp and Go Slow (CAGS) announces a gorgeous Fall line of cycling apparel, hip packs, caps, and expands a fan favorite!

Camp and Go Slow is a small two-person operation out of Northeastern California run by Casey Clark and Sarah Lillegard. What started with die-cut stickers that play on the Campy logo has since turned into a full-fledged brand.

These days, Camp and Go Slow is way more than just a clever ambigram; they’re now turning out high-quality, gorgeous canvas bags, wool socks, apparel, and literally the best bar tape on the market (in my opinion).
Yeah, I said it.
So, without further ado, let’s move on to their new Fall Product Drop.
The Ventile Vest
Retail: $200

These good lookin’ vests are made in collaboration with Cima Coppi in Spain. They are made with Ventile long staple cotton, are highly breathable, water resistant, and PFC-free. The Ventile Vests feature Cima’s versatile ‘Fireside Fit”, two-way zippers (win!), and a drop tail hem.
The front and back yokes are trimmed with both Eastern and Western Rattler tape. With the Ventile Cotton’s benefits, it makes the CAGS vests the perfect companion for riding during the shoulder seasons.
The Ventile Vests will be available in S–XXL in Eastern Rattler and Western Rattler colors.

Casey’s Fit Notes:
“Cima’s “Fireside Fit” is somewhere between race cut and relaxed. I’m 6′, 190 lbs with a 40″ chest, and I fit nicely into a large. It’s slim enough to go over a t-shirt without feeling baggy and roomy enough to layer over a wool jersey. If I wanted to layer over something bulky like a hoodie or a thick flannel, I’d have to size up“.
Sara’s Fit:
“The Ventile Vests are cut long and straight to provide a snug fit. If your hips are significantly bigger than your waist, compare the front length measurement (D) and front hem (F) to know where the vest will land on your hips and if it will be wide enough. My waist is 32″and hips are 41″. A small is tight at the bottom, but fits perfectly everywhere else. A medium is loose across my hips and roomy at the top“.
Braking for Snakes
Retail: $30 (tees), $22 (new mugs), $6 (patches), $7 (sticker pack),

Camp And Go Slow not only replenished their popular I Brake for Snakes t-shirts, but they’ve decided to expand and make it a whole collection. The collection will now include upgraded Heavyweight Comfort Color tees that will come in both black and spruce colors.
CAGS says that the Ts are discharge printed, so you won’t have that “silkscreen-stuck-to-your-back issue after a sweaty ride” issue. The same big and small I Brake for Snakes stickers and patches are still part of the collection. But, there will be a limited run of handsome I Brake For Snake enamel mugs for the home or campsite. The artwork for these was done by Sarah and their uber-talented friend Ron Rash.
Camp and Go Slow Five Panel Cycling Cap
Retail: $50

Camp And Go Slow worked with Velo Spica in Japan to design a new cap and hat for the fall. First: The Five Panel Cycling Cap is sewn from lightweight cotton/nylon ripstop. The cap features a fully custom-patterned brim that is both wide and packable. It also has a ‘Pig Snout’ lash tab in the back, along with a shock cord and toggle adjustment. The cap has a high-quality embroidered logo. CAGS says one-size-fits-most. And they max out around a 24.5″ head (7 7/8 hat size).
Packable Trucker Hat
Retail: $50

The Packable Trucker Hat uses a cotton/nylon blend front panel and mesh side panels for a breathable combo. They feature a stitched-on I Brake For Snakes patch. The brim is packable like the new cycling cap, and shorter than your run-of-the-mill mesh trucker hat. So, you won’t look like Scotty from the Sand Lot. On the back end, there is an adjustable webbing strap with a low-profile buckle. One-size-fits-most and maxes out around a 25″ head (8 hat size).
Camp x Rockgeist Dumpling Hip Packs
Retail: $110 (Lil’ Dumpling), $175 (Big Dumpling)

These handsome additions to the CAGS family are made in Asheville, NC, by Rockgeist. The hip packs are made using a welded/waterproof main compartment and are easy to access while riding.

They are said to be comfy and stable, and disappear while you ride. The Dumpling Hip Packs are available in two sizes, Lil Dumpling and Big Dumpling. Both sizes will come in all four color options: Western Rattler, Eastern Rattler, Brown Trout, and Great Horned Owl.
Handlebar Bag, Stem Caddy, and Mini Saddle Bags

Retail: $130 (Drawcord Handlebar Bag), $60 (Stem Caddy), $45 (Mini Saddlebag)
Casey and Sarah were stoked to see the first batch of the new Outershell bags arrive at the Camp and Go Slow HQ – there was a LOT of admiring being done. So the collection now includes the Drawcord Handlebar Bag and Stem Caddy in four color/trim options.

They also brought in the matching Mini Saddlebag that comes with Camp and Go Slow branded Voilé straps. All of the bags are made in San Francisco, CA, using 1000D Cordura fabric. They also come in four colors with custom trims: Western Rattler, Eastern Rattler, Brown Trout, and Great Horned Owl.

There are so many reasons to stop by Camp and Go Slow’s site for a gander at all that they offer, I promise you won’t be sorry. After you visit the site and see what I’m talking about, you’ll find my email below if you want to reach out to thank me.
Just kidding… but seriously, check ’em out.
