Outdoor Gear Builders, a collaborative of bike and outdoor gear brands from western North Carolina, is hosting Get In Gear Fest on September 25th in Black Mountain, NC. With hundreds of acres of mountainous terrain, trails, a lake, and wide open spaces, there’s room for the whole family to try all the latest gear.
UPDATE: From OGB: “In light of the current rise of COVID-19 cases and the very contagious Delta variant in the WNC region, the Outdoor Gear Builders has decided to postpone the 7th annual Get In Gear Fest in order to keep our community safe and not contribute to the rise in cases. We look forward to hosting our in-person Get in Gear Festival from April 23rd – 24th for a full weekend of fun over Earth Day, featuring exceptional gear, brands, and outdoor interactive experiences.”
Hosted at Camp Rockmont, there’ll be music, food trucks, beer (and other beverages), and limited overnight lodging opportunities. In addition to checking out the latest equipment (check out the full member list below), the camp is opening up its Waterfront, Zip Line, Gulley Washer, The Web, Canoeing, Kayaking, Stand-Up Paddleboards, Archery, Hiking, Trail Running, and Climbing Wall for attendees to play on!
And the best part? It’s free! Get more details on the event website or follow them on social for updates. The event runs from 10a to 5p on Saturday, September 25th.
