- Scott Bicycles has signed on a sponsor of the USAC Nationals and Ride Sun Valley Bike Festival in July. Ride Sun Valley will include an All Mountain event, a fat tire crit, a week of Epic Rides and more. We’ve been there, and the singletrack is world-class, and you can check out Ketchum Bike Park pump track, which Scott Bikes helped create. If you’re going to a national race this year, we’d recommend putting this at the top of the list. They’ll probably have some of their 2012 bikes floating around, too…
- Floyd Landis, or at least someone pretending to be him, has begun a spoof email attack on the UCI. Chronicled on NYvelocity.com, the charade has raised the ire of the governing body thanks to its fully fleshed out joke: It involves a fake lawyer, fake law practice, fake twitter handles and more. Certainly good for a laugh if nothing else.
- The Endurance Sports Expo is this weekend and has over 200 national and local vendors and brands exhibiting. You can demo road, triathlon and mountain bikes on the road or trail, there are free training seminars from pro and Olympic medal winners and the first 750 folks through the door each day get a schwag bag. It’s at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA on February 26th and 27th.
