- Get Fat on the North Carolina beach a week from now – The 2nd annual US Open Fat Bike Beach Championship hit Wrightsville Beach outside of Wilmington, NC Mar 11-13. With more the 2x as many racers as last year, the event offers a chance to get in some late winter fat biking on sand instead of snow. Riders will compete in expert, sport, and beginner divisions covering 24, 16, or 8 miles through a mixed surface beach course that will be spectator friendly. Weekend activities also include adventure riding on the island, demo bikes, maintenance and race tips, an evening social, and other entertainment, then finishing it all off with a Sunday sunrise ride on the beach. - Ride Melbourne this weekend for Multiple Sclerosis – This Sunday Mar 6 from 7am, MS Melbourne Cycle will be raising funds and awareness for people living with multiple sclerosis. This family friendly, non-competitive bike ride starts and finishes at Flemington Racecourse and gives participants the chance the West Gate Bridge.
