Until now, GU’s Energy Chews came in small pouches of four chews for about 80-90 calories of amino acid enhanced carbohydrates and electrolytes. Now, they’re added sleeves that provide twice as many chews for about 50% more coin. They’re available in Blueberry Pomegranate, Orange, Strawberry and Watermelon flavors and retail for about $2 a pop (18 per $36 case, on sale for $28.80 as of this post going live). GU says the new sleeves are easier to open than the pouches, making consumption a little quicker and safer on the bike.
