At this point in the game, if you’re going to bring a new Garmin GPS cycling computer mount to the market, it should probably do something different than the recent introductions from Bar Fly, Quarq and 3T.
Uncreatively named “Computer Mount for Garmin Edge”, K-Edge does get creative where it counts. It’s the first we’ve seen to offer adjustable positioning, letting you mount either the Edge 200, 500 or 800 snug to the front of your stem despite the different sizes. It’s 100% machined from 6061 T6 alloy with a sliding arm design. It positions the computer directly in front of the stem, with the screen just below the top level of the stem.

Unlike the others, it’s 100% metal. No plastic anywhere. The lock tabs are plenty firm, lest you worry about them bending too often and breaking. Turning the computer into the mount requires a noticeably firmer twist than with the stock Garmin mounts.
The bottom bolt tightens the sliding mount into position. Loosen it to adjust fore/aft computer placement. It’s slotted so it won’t rotate. You’ll need to leave about 1.5mm between the handlebar clamp and the stem so it can slide on.
There’s about half an inch of useable adjustment. Having the screen out in front a bit makes it quicker and easier to read when riding (you don’t have bring your eyes so far downward). One could argue that it’s slightly more aero, too.
