Rudy Project’s new Magster is now available, and it borrows design cues from their Rydon and Noyz models while incorporating a few new technologies for the brand: the Safety Project Antishock Megol Pads and a stainless steel perforated grill that allows air to flow over the lens to prevent fogging.
Megol is Rudy Project’s engineered plastic material (it feels rubbery) and this latest version is embedded into both the frame and lens and is designed to dampen vibration. It’s used on the nosepiece and temple grips at the end of the arms, both of which are fully adjustable in every direction to let you customize the fit.
Lenses are available in the full range of Rudy’s colors, including clear, polarized and Rx prescription. They’re interchangable, and several models come with multiple lenses. Frames also come in a wide variety of colors, with several “frozen” frame colors that are somewhat translucent.
Pricing ranges from $199.99 to $279.99 depending on frame and color, but they’re included in the Rudy Combo Deal special, which lets you choose either an extra set of polarized lenses or their Slinger helmet free when you purchase the shades.
