2010 ritchey pro paradigm mountain bike pedal

Ritchey Logic is set to release two new pedals this Summer, the Pro Paradigm mountain bike pedal (above) and the WCS Echelon road pedal (after the break).

The Pro Paradigm replaces the previous Pro V4 mountain pedal. It has an improved bearing/axle that allows for adjustability and service. The red anodized body has a low profile design, putting the cleat close to the axle for efficient pedaling. Stainless steel entry claw should be durable. 255g, $149.95 MSRP.

The WCS Echelon has a 6061 alloy body with carbon composite retention claw and a cromoly spindle. The retention force is adjustable, and it also features a very low platform height, which Ritchey claims creates a very efficient pedaling arc that comes close to eliminating the “dead zone.” It has a light weight cleat with a wide platform for stable pedaling and comfort. 233g, $189.95 MSRP.
