It looks like Otso has been sneaking some updates into their Warakin frames. I happen to love the Otso Warakin Ti. But there are a few things I wish the original version had–namely geometry designed to allow the use of suspension forks, accessory mounts on the fork, and dropper post routing. Guess what the new updates are??
Yup. Otso has now addressed all my concerns, which should make the updated Warakin Stainless and Warakin Ti their best yet. Up front, three-pack mounts on both sides of the fork give you additional cargo options for those longer adventures.
The forks are also longer with a 420mm axle to crown measurement. That puts it in the sweet spot for swapping it out for a gravel suspension fork from Fox, RockShox, MRP, or others. As a result, the headtube is also shorter by 20mm to keep the geometry the same.
And if you’re putting a suspension fork on your gravel bike, you’ll probably also want a dropper post. So the new frames have that option as well.
Available now in select sizes, prices start at $1,700 for the Warakin Stainless frameset or $3,550 for the Stainless complete, and $2,950 for the Warakin Ti frameset and $4,500 for the Ti complete.
