It looks like Burley bike trailers are about to get a serious upgrade. Wanting to go head to head with an ever-increasing amount of premium stroller options, the brand synonymous with bike trailers has unveiled their next model, tentatively called the Solina.
While Burley is an American company based in Eugene, Oregon, we’re told that part of the inspiration for the new trailer is to focus on the high-end European market with a more stroller-focused design. On previous Burley trailers, use as a stroller was more of an afterthought, with the need to purchase a stroller wheel kit separately.

The Solina includes swivel wheels that can remain on the trailer and pop down when you need them. They can also be completely removed if you don’t.

In addition to the standard foot-activated parking brake, the Solina will get an additional hand drum brake which can be used in conjunction with the Jogger kit, or whenever you’re using it as a stroller and need some help slowing things down – like walking down a steep hill.

The Jogger kit attaches to the front of the trailer like previous designs, but this time the front wheel has the ability to be fixed or to rotate freely.

For the bike attachment hitch, Burley has a new steel hitch that matches the Coho axles. The new connector allows for one-handed on/off, plus there’s a new lock that allows you to lock the trailer to the bike.

One of the coolest new features may be the fold-flat seating, which not only allows for 5% more recline for the kiddos, but also allows for the seat to be completely flat for cargo use. Burley will still offer a single or double trailer, but more users with a single kid might want the double now since you could use the empty space to carry a balance bike.
Additional features include independently adjustable suspension, the ability to lock down once folded for easier transport, and 6″ of additional space for the kids inside.
Expected around Q2 of 2026, the Solina’s target MSRP is $1495 for the double and $1395 for the single, making it a substantial leap from the current Burley line.
Award Winning Burley Hopper Trailer

With wagons gaining in popularity as a way to move your kids and kids’ things, Burley’s Hopper took home a Eurobike Award. While Burley stresses that you should not tow kids in the Hopper with a bike, the wagon can be towed by bike to carry bulky cargo to your destination. Then flip the front caster wheels down to convert the wagon into stroller mode.

When used as a wagon on foot, Burley offers a child seat insert along with options like sun shades and the same fat tire kit as their trailers, which could make this the perfect beach wagon.
Like the trailers, the Hopper folds flat for easy transport and storage, and includes a foot-activated parking brake.
The Hopper sells for $599.95, which includes a weather-resistant cover, and a single seat insert and sunshade kit sells for $149.95 (you can run two for two kids).
