If you’ve always wanted a Ridley Noah Fast or Helium SLX but put the price was a little too much, here’s your chance. Previously, these models were only available in the Elite series or plainly — the same version as used by the Lotto-Soudal team.
As of today, the Belgian bike manufacturer is now offering the Noah and Helium at the Essential level. The Ridley Essential Series aims for the same ride quality and stiffness as the Elite series, but with a slight weight increase due to a modified carbon lay-up.
The goal for Ridleys Essential Series is to offer comparable rider experience and technology of the Elite series at a lesser price.
Noah Essential Series
The Noah takes quite a few cues from its aero brother, the Noah Fast. The Noah Essential Series carries over most, if not all of the Noah Fast aero features like; F-Surface Plus which sculpts the frame, F-Steerer which hides all the cables through the steerer, F-Wings to streamline turbulent air near the hubs, and the super cool one-piece integrated Noah Fast aero handlebars.
Ridley Noah Essential Series Geometry
The geometry for the Ridley Noah is the same as the Ridley Noah Fast and will be available in XXS-XL.
Noah build options
The Noah and the Helium will be available in three different build options; SRAM Rival AXS, Shimano Ultegra 2×11, and Shimano 105 2×11.
The components reflect the various levels, with deep carbon wheels for the SRAM Rival AXS offering and Shimano RS171 for the Shimano 105. Keeping the Essential Series bikes affordable and practical.
The Ridley Noah will be available in two colors; Deep dark blue and silver, with a starting price of $4,100.
Helium Essential Series
The Ridley Helium, like the Helium SLX, receives the same traditional round tube shapes and narrow seat stays.
The Essential version carries over some of the aero stylings of the SLX, like the F-Steerer (which allows cables to run inside) and dropped seat stays to smooth out the roads.
A standout feature for the Helium SLX is the weight. The Essential Series version stays close to home, coming in with a sub-1000g frame.
