Belgian bike maker Ridley is ready to shine on the cobbles with a special limited edition of their endurance road bike – the new Fenix SL Disc Classics. You can even win a number of signed jerseys throughout the bike’s Spring Classics campaign. The Tour of Flanders, Ghent-Wevelgem, Paris-Roubaix are all just around the corner…

Fenix SL Disc Classics edition endurance road bike

Ridley is looking to celebrate a month of cycling focus on the cobbles in the Flandrian backyard, so that was the impetus of a special edition of their ‘all-round’ road bike. Blending race-ready drivetrain stiffness, handling performance & light weight with all day comfort, the angular shaped Fenix is the bike of choice for the Lotto-Soudal’s classics season. While the road pros are still not jumping to adopt disc brakes, Ridley knows that’s the way forward, and the SL version of the Fenix has been sporting discs for a couple of years now.

Special Edition bike spec

This special limited edition of the bike starts with a simple team replica paint job in black, white & red for that pro feel. For the cobbled season this Classics edition bike starts with a trusted Ultegra r8000 mechanical groupset and hydraulic brakes (don’t worry, your bike shouldn’t get built with SRAM Centerline rotors) and a machined Rotor 3D+ mid-compact crankset.

But from there the Fenix SL Disc Classics goes for a more pro build, spinning in a set of mid-depth, stealth-labelled Forza Cirrus Pro R45 carbon clinchers at a claimed 1400g.

Those feature 45mm deep, 26mm external carbon rims machine-woven in Europe with a claimed 19mm internal rim width and laced around reliable DT Swiss 350 hubs. Then wrap them up with supple & sticky Graphene-infused Vittoria Corsa 25c tires (that likely will measure a few mm wider on those rims.)

Finishing kit is also nice with carbon Deda Zero 100 handlebar, stem and seatpost, plus a Selle Italia SLS Team Edition saddle.

Spring Fenix Classics campaign contest

To celebrate the month of cobbled racing goodness, Ridley has taken the Fenix SL Disc Classics out to their local cobbles. Follow along at their campaign website, Facebook page, and Instagram. Every couple of days from now up til Paris-Roubaix, Ridley will share a photo of the new bike on a famous section of cobbles. Tell them where the pic was taken, and you’ll be entered to win signed jerseys from Ridley-riding pros like André Greipel, Marianne Vos, Tiesj Benoot, and more…

On the second photo under Special Edition bike spec, I see an inline adjuster on the hydrolic cable. Im wondering if this is not hydrolic or this is something new, can you explain?
