Legend titanium road bike with integrated seatmast

Legend is a boutique brand by framebuilder Marco Bertoletti and partners. Based in Bergamo, Italy, they build mainly with titanium, but the top of the line Queen model shown here uses a carbon fiber seat tube and unique integrated seatmast.

We’ve also got some great pics of a titanium commuter bike from Rewel and another example of lots of linkages on a single pivot mountain bike suspension design. Click on through to see it all…

The head tube is tapered and flares out at the bottom to allow an integrated headset, something you don’t usually see from smaller builders (most use the 44mm standard, which requires an external headset cup for tapered forks). Something else you don’t usually see on Ti bikes are smoothed welds. Legend welds their frames in a sealed, inert chamber, letting them smooth, fill and polish the bikes with no claimed loss in strength.

The Queen has a PressFit 30 bottom bracket and full internal cable/wiring for either mechanical or electronic drivetrains.

The seatmast has a patented single bolt design on the back of the tube to hold the seat clamp topper.  All Legend bikes are full custom and built to order.

Rewel titanium single speed city commuter bike

We saw some of Rewel’s bicycles at Eurobike, too. This city bike stood out because, well, you don’t see too many 700c flat bar titanium commuter bikes. That it’s single speed just makes it that much sleeker.

Fairly simple sliding dropouts theoretically let you adjust the geometry ever so slightly, too, though I’m not sure that’s an intentional feature. One that that is missing are rack mounts, meaning this thing is all about speed.

Last mountain bike with single pivot suspension design built with multiple linkages for shock rate

Those Euros sure seem to love using multiple linkages on single pivot mountain bikes, presumably to fine tune the leverage ratio. We posted some other examples here and here.

When are bicycle builders are going to stop using Flash on their sites? It’s just plain awful when you want to see pix and you can’t!

@Suzi
I can see them fine. Must be a problem with your device if you can’t.
