Rose Reveal endurance race bike smooths roads, sports 30mm tire clearance

Rose announced the Reveal, a new ‘endurance race bike’. To be more specific, it’s a road bike, and fits into the growing segment that’s typically described as Allroad – sporting 30mm tire clearance, but largely sticking to road race DNA. The Reveal is available in two different frame layups and multiple price points, and is the first bike to sport a new logo from Rose.

Rose revealed (get it?) a frame weight of 900 grams, but does not provide a size spec (so we’ll speculate that it’s a small or medium). A BB86 bottom bracket and asymmetric chainstays provide power transfer, along with 12mm thru axles. The Reveal stands as very similar to the gravel-focused Backroad – just a bit less beefy.

It stands out for its design that speaks an emotional, yet clean and performance-oriented language. Straight lines, long light-refracting edges and dynamic chamfers define the new ROSE design – all over the 2020 frame platforms. The REVEAL cockpit also has this clean look: It comes with fully integrated cable routing at the headset to neatly hide gear and brake cables.

Rose follows the modern trend of dropped seat stays and a D-shaped seat post to add comfort and compliance to the frame.

The Reveal is available in a wide range of seven sizes, with full geometry listed above.

Specs and Pricing

The Reveal Six Disc is the top-end frame, starting at 3,999 Euros. It can be configured with Ultegra, Ultegra Di2, Dura Ace Di2, Force eTap AXS or Red eTap AXS.

The Reveal Four Disc adds 100 grams of frame weight, and starts at 2,499 Euros. Spec options include 105, Ultegra, and Ultegra Di2. A rim brake option is also available starting at 2,099 Euros.

Surprised a company would come out with an endurance bike that doesn’t have clearance for at least a (GP 5000) 32mm tire given the way the market is heading

30mm on the road is big. It handles short gravel/dirt roads fine. Its an endurance bike, not a gravel bike and there is still a market for a more relaxed geometry and comfort while still flirting with a fast feel that a full on race bike would give. Plus there is the market that wants a primarily road bike but due to proportions or whatever, enjoy the higher stack endurance frame provide without going full gravel.
Not arguing against 32, but I don’t think all endurance machines need to go full gravel.
