Ryder announced these new downhill/freeride goggles earlier this year, but they’ve just finally started shipping and we got our hands on a pair.

Two models are offered, the Shore and Banger, with the Shore getting a dual layer lens and the banger getting just one. Other than that, the frames of both styles block vapor from the mouth and nose and fresh air is channeled from the front and sides of the goggles to flow up the back of the lens, all of which is designed to combat fogging.

We haven’t had em on the trail yet, but we’ve weighed and photo’d them, all shown after the break with more details…

Weight is just 144g for the Shore. The Banger will be a bit lighter because of the single lens.

Both models get tear-off posts and all versions have 100% UV protection and most will retail for under $50.

The straps are designed to go around full face helmets and will probably feel a bit loose at the front if you try to wear them with a regular brain bucket.
