The new Wahoo BOLT Aero Mount by K-Edge takes the aerodynamic claims made by the GPS cycling computer brand and extends that to the Boise, ID, made machined alloy out front mounts. Word is, Wahoo wanted this, and K-Edge could easily deliver, which made both companies’ sponsorships of Bora and others such that the riders could be on the most aero cycling computer and mount combo. There’s even rumor the riders were kinda asking for K-Edge by name.

This new version is more shapely than the prior Race Mount that simply shortened the arm to reduce the gap between BOLT and handlebar. Now, it’s fully formed to integrate into the BOLT’s shape for optimized aerodynamics and looks.

It’s specifically shaped to fit the Wahoo BOLT and has the UCI-required bolt holes on the bottom to allow the computer to be locked into place for weigh-ins, too. Retail is $69.99, available through K-Edge or Wahoo to replace the stock plastic mount. Only comes in this black/raw/black colorway. Also coming soon is a Sport TT version called the Wahoo Aero TT that mounts to the aero extensions and situates the BOLT between them.

I really want to love the Omata. it’s maybe the kind of perfectly silly thing I could see myself saving for when I graduate.
