Spotted on their Instagram account, iconic Japanese bike shop, Blue Lug, announced that they will be releasing their new “Beetle Bell”. It’s a neat-looking little bell that resembles a beetle sitting on your handlebar. The bells are made by MKS, a company known for high-quality pedals.

March 4th is “MKS” Day, a day that Blue Lug gets loads of social media photos of people donning their MKS pedals using the hashtag #mymks. The pedal manufacturer made these bells for Blue Lug to launch on the 4th to commemorate the special day. It looks like they also award the photos, take a look at the 2022 winners here. Fun!

The bell comes in two materials, stainless and titanium, and you can get it in different colors including black stainless, black titanium, and raw titanium.

There are no samples of the sound or how loud it is yet.

It looks like it can fit a myriad of bar sizes with a CatEye adjustable mounting system, making it versatile and easy to swap between bikes. Just trim the excess strap once the bell finds a permanent set of bars to live on.
