2012 SR Suntour Epicon X1 26 and 29er suspension fork

SR Suntour’s Epicon X1 fork gets upgraded with low-speed compression damping controls with lockout like the carbon-bodied Axon, as well as a hollow alloy crown.

Those changes, combined with reduced the oil volume, add up to a total weight savings of 80g. The 29er model comes with either 80, 100 or 120mm of internally adjustable travel. Claimed weight is about 1700kg.

The 26″ fork should be around 1660g and have 100 thru 150mm travel in 10mm increments. There’s also a 26″ model that has an infinitely adjustable air cartridge with 40mm of travel range. Before it was controlled by remote lever only, but now they’re offering a top cap bezel on te fork crown to help reduce handlebar clutter. Pricing for all models is TBD but will be slightly more than the current gen.

Both are available with either straight or tapered steerer tubes. Make the jump for more pics…

Shown here on the Axon, the low speed compression is controlled by the center dial, lockout with the lever.
