We know who State Bicycle Co. is, but who’s RIPNDIP?

RIPNDIP

RIPNDIP is a streetwear brand that is based in Los Angeles but has chapter stores in New York Soho, Mexico City, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. The brand is known for its “irreverent and fun-loving style” with the iconic cat mascot and bold graphics. RIPNDIP has ‘conquered’ the fashion world and is now turning its focus on bringing the brand’s unique vibe to the world of cycling.

Okay, let’s get on with the collab.

FU Edition Klunker and Bag Combo

Retail: $450

The 27.5″ wheeled State x RIPNDIP-themed Klunker is a statement, to say the least. As a Klunker it is designed for those who like to keep things kind of low-key and chill. Add the RIPNDIP “FU” graphics, and your laid-back rides around town, pop-a-wheelies, and air-catchin’ shenanigans will be turnin’ some heads.

Lord Nermal Core Line Bike

Retail: $429

A bit more subtle, you can be single speedin’ around town on this beaut. RIPNDIP’s iconic, signature Lord Nermal cat graphics mean loads of fun. The vibrant colors and unique and fantastic head badge will be a conversation starter, for sure!

F You Handlebar Tape

Retail: $25

Not tired of making statements while riding? Then check out the “F You” bar tape… it’s got plenty of attitude. This tape “lets everyone know you mean business, and don’t care about theirs”.

FU Bar Bag

Retail: $40

The handlebar bag, in general, is the perfect place to keep your goodies and sundries while out and about. With the State/RIPNDIP bar bag you can now do it with all the attitude of a drunkin’ sailor…no offense, and thank you for your service.

FU Klunker Frame Bag

Retail: $70

this bag is perfect for taking your State Klunker off-road. It is cavernous enough to hold everything from a PB&J sammy to your tools, tubes, and snacks. Plus, it’s small enough to stay nice and tucked away so you can shred properly. Oh, and it carries the same attitude as the rest of the collection.

Check Out the New Kits

Retail: $70 (jersey only), $150 (jersey+bibs)

I don’t wear lycra when I ride, but these kits are making me rethink that. These cool kits round out the State X RIPNDIP collaboration with an emphasis on both fun and function. These bad boys will turn heads and get the conversation going, 100%.

Frida Jersey and Bibs

State x RIPNDIP Collab Frida kit

Obviously inspired by and paying homage to Frida Kahlo, one of the most important artists of all time. These kits mix in a little RIPNDIP to the graphics with lil’ Nermals poking out of the colorful leaves.

Nermal Camo Jersey and Bibs

If you ever wanted to blend into your urban surroundings while still standing out on the Saturday group ride, then this kit is for you. The colors are fantastic.

FU Jersey and Bibs

Feeling froggy? Rebellious? Dawn this jersey and bib and it will do the talking for you. It’s got the same “edgy design and in-your-face attitude as the rest of this collection, it’s just a lil’ more direct. Plus, it gives you an excuse to bring out the can-o-whoop ass and ride hard and still have fun… not that you need an excuse.

Yeah…..I don’t think RIPNDIP is a company you’d want to associate with anyone. Look up Domestic abuse and maybe change the article around.

I’m not sure what the target audience would even be for this bike.

Posing the same question I did over on The Radavist:

@SBC + Bike Rumor crews, is this the kind of message you want to putting out there?

………this is just lame all around. I feel bad for Frida Khalo even being mentioned up there.
