Sun Ringle is a name we know well from the mountain bike world (and now hubs used on certain Reynolds wheels). Now, they’re putting their spin on a gravel/adventure wheel of their own – the new Duroc G30.

Sun Ringle Duroc G30 Wheelset

How does a brand with decades of MTB experience take on the world of gravel? As they put it, it had to maintain their “bombproof” reputation while being light enough that you could race on it. You know, if that’s your thing.

Sun Ringle Duroc G30 rim

Built with a double wall, welded aluminum rim, the G30 features a 30mm wide, 17mm deep profile with a 26mm wide internal width. Utilizing Sun Ringle’s STR Tubeless Ready system, the rim features a hooked design meant for gravel and MTB tires from 40-56mm wide.

Laced to the new Ringle SRX hubs which feature a 3 pawl freehub with 12º engagement, wheelsets are available with Centerlock brake interfaces and 28 straight pull spokes per wheel. The SRX hubs offer freehubs for Shimano HGR 11 speed, SRAM XDR, and even Campy N3W, and use 12mm thru-axles front and rear with caps for 15 x 100mm thru-axles also available.

Sun Ringle Duroc G30 spec

Shipped with tubeless tape installed and brass tubeless valve stems, the wheels are offered in both 650b and 700c sizes. Claimed weights are listed at 1674g for the 700c, or 1624g for the 650b (ignore that typo in the chart above – the 700c rear weight is claimed at 894g).

Sold per wheel, the front is priced at $279.99 and the rear will add $419.99. Available now.
