Kask, an Italian helmet manufacturer, is a little-known brand in the U.S., but they’re now the official helmet of Team Sky.
“We have been pleased to have found a great partner in Kask, supplying top of the line helmets for Team Sky,” said Team Principal Dave Brailsford. “We’re always looking for competitive advantages, using only the best available and always trying to develop the products even further. I believe working with Kask will provide us with another good opportunity to do exactly this.”
The team will use Kask’s top of the line Vertigo model with 24 vents and a unique up-n-down hinged adjustment that allows for both size and vertical adjustment. A retention dial simplifies the tightening. The helmets feature in-mold construction with an internal frame, nylon straps with a hypoallergenic synthetic leather chin strap and an insect shield mesh within the front vents.
“By choosing Kask, Team Sky has made a powerful endorsement of the quality of our helmets and we are looking forward to working with them to secure success for the team,” added Mr Angelo Gotti, President of Kask.

Kask’s helmets are available in the UK through Active Life Logistics, but we’re not sure if they have a U.S. importer yet.
The Kask Vertigo is also available in mountain bike formats with a front visoe. This image shows the syn-leather chin strap section.
