What does your local cycling scene need most? That was one of the main topics during my recent conversation with the Gravel Lot Podcast. In less than a year, the podcast hosted by Doug McClintock and Jon Wolery has gone from just a concept, to one of my weekly must-listen shows. Part of that is due to their Cincinnati roots, but they’re starting to take on more national and even international topics and are lining up some big name guests in the future.

Frankly, it’s been fascinating to follow along as they connect the dots in the Cincinnati riding scene, so when they asked me to be a guest on the show, I excitedly said yes.

I was a little nervous at the start, but in the end I thing we had a pretty meaningful conversation about my background, local trails, Interbike, e-bikes, and Bikerumor in general among other things. If you want to give it a listen, you can play it straight from this page or find it on any of the podcast links below. And while TGL already has some guests lined up that you’ll definitely be interested in hearing from, if there’s someone you think would be a great guest – give ’em a shout!

Episode 34: Zach Overholt, managing editor of BikeRumor.com swings by TGL to talk about the bike industry, the best trails in the world, and what we can all do a little bit better. We also talk MTB group rides, expensive bikes, and why we need our own demo fleet.
