The all-new XC & marathon race-ready Canyon Lux pairs a lightweight 100mm travel carbon frame to a number of different 1x builds at two different carbon spec levels. The premium CF SLX carbon builds are destined for more cross-country racing and feature 100mm forks, while the standard (but still light) CF SL carbon builds opt for 110mm fork travel for more trail rideability and comfort for longer marathon races.

Lux CF SLX Pricing & Availability

The new Lux is available in a number of complete bike builds and framesets for the SLX & SL bikes, depending on market. The $6500/6000€ Lux CF SLX 9.0 Race Team is the top no matter where you are with the new 1x XTR 12-speed groupset, just like van der Poel’s race bike. With a claimed 10.0kg weight, Fox Factory suspension, and DT Swiss XRC 1200 carbon wheels, it’s the first mainstream production bike we’ve seen offered with new XTR, so we wonder a bit when it will really ship to buyers?

The next, still World Cup level Lux CF SLX 9.0 Pro Race will set buyers back $6000/5600€ with a full SRAM build. You get a RockShox SID WC, Deluxe RLR shock, XX1 Eagle 12-speed with Grip Shift, Level Ultimate brakes, and Reynolds Black Label XC carbon wheels for the same end weight, and availability right now.

Lastly for the top Lux CF SLX is the $3000/2500€ frameset option, which comes with the Fox Factory Float DPS shock with remote lockout.

Lux CF SL Pricing & Availability

Available world-wide except the US, a 4600€ Lux CF SL 8.0 Race Team gets a new XTR 1×12 drivetrain, Fox Elite, and mixed build on the more affordable frame, still weighing 11.3kg.

At the same weight again, the $4300/3700€ Lux CF SL 8.0 Pro Race switches to RockShox, SRAM X01 Eagle, Level TLM brakes, and an alloy DT wheelset.

Also not available in the US, the Lux CF SL 7.0 Race at 3000€ is a solid Shimano XT & Fox Performance build with DT wheels at 11.8kg.

Lastly the most affordable new complete bike is the $3000/2600€ Lux CF SL 6.0 Pro Race. It features the new NX Eagle 1×12 drivetrain with a mix of other SRAM family kit and DT wheels, again at 11.8kg.

All of the 29″ bikes come in four stock frame sizes (S-XL), and generally two different paintjob options.

Canyon was adamant to say that the new Lux would be available to order today, with a large portion of the size/color/build combinations shipping within a week or two to customers worldwide.

Stay tuned later this week for our first ride impressions on a Lux CF SLX 9.0 Pro Race with an actual 10.58kg ready-to-ride weight (size large, with pedals and cages). I got to put the bike through its paces chasing after the rainbow stripes on the backs of some of Canyon’s pro riders a few weeks ago.

“and DT Swiss XRC 1200 carbon wheels”

Cory. Do you know if it’s the XRC 1200 22.5 splines or the XRC 1200 25 Splines?

Thanks.
