Launched in November and already moving through several shipments of their premium 24″ youth mountain bikes, Trailcraft Cycles has jumped on the 1x drivetrain movement for kids, too.
Shown above on the founder’s daughter’s bike, they’re now offering a complete bike with a 1×10 option using a Race Face narrow/wide chainring on their own cranks with a Shimano Zee rear shifter/Deore derailleur.
The rest of the spec remains, including the custom Stan’s NoTubes Crest 24 rims with Schwalbe Rocket Ron tires and kid sized alloy cockpit. The bike above is built with Trailcraft’s titanium rigid fork, which is one option alongside the RST air suspension fork. Prices, weights and closeup below…
The 1×10 bikes will be sold for $1,699. That’s the same price as the 2×10 bike, which comes with a full Deore group, so the 1x bumps up to a Zee rear shifter.
The 1x alloy Pineridge comes in at a claimed 21.2lb (9.6kg). That’s about 0.7lb (317g) savings based on the actual weight of our test bike. The build uses a 104BCD Race Face 30T chainring in your choice of blue, green or purple ano to match their three different frame colors.
Opt for the 1x build with titanium rigid fork and you can get the alloy-framed bike down just 19lb (8.6kg). That package will run $1,838. Upgrade to the titanium frame ($2,591 with RST fork, $2,699 with ti fork) for the lightest possible complete bikes.
