E-cargo bikes are gaining popularity, with a variety of interesting designs to help reduce your car usage while still hauling heavy loads. Bunch Bikes rolled out two new models to help get the job done – The Bark, and The Preschool. Both are appropriate for riders from 5’2″ to 6’5″, and can handle a total cargo load of up-to-350 pounds.

The Preschool is painted in school bus yellow and has seat belts for up to six kids. It uses a 48v 500w DAPU rear hub motor, with a quoted battery range of 20-30 miles.

Key parts spec includes a Shimano Tourney six-speed transmission, Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes, and CST puncture resistant tires. The Preschool is available now for a list price of $3,495.

If your family consists of four-legged ‘kids’, Bunch made The Bark for you. Using the same motor and battery system as The Preschool, The Bark uses a different cargo area with integrated dog leash – plus a removable bench that can carry 1-2 children.

Dog-friendly accessories round out the package, with a motorcycle side bag for dog treats, a thick foam floor cushion, and even UV-blocking “doggles” to keep your pup’s eyes safe (though no guarantees are made that your dog won’t chew them to pieces).

The Bark is selling now as a limited edition, only available until the end of September 2019. It runs $3,495 and carries a lifetime frame warranty, along with a 2-year warranty for the cargo box, motor, and battery.
