Just over a year ago, Bontrager introduced a new program for their carbon wheels. Their Carbon Care Wheel Loyalty program covers any damage your wheels may suffer in the first two years, regardless of the cause. Now, Bontrager is adding even more incentive to purchase one of their carbon wheelsets with a lifetime warranty.
Unlike the Carbon Care Loyalty Program, the Lifetime warranty doesn’t cover everything. Rather, like most warranties, it guarantees against defect which will likely be up to Trek’s discretion if you ever need to use it. That means this warranty won’t cover damage from a crash, or running your bike into your garage. Instead, if something caused your wheel to fail when Trek feels that it shouldn’t have, they’ve got your back.
But when combined with the Carbon Care Loyalty Program that covers any damage to carbon wheels for the original owner for the first two years, and the subsequent discounts for replacement or repair after those two years – you have some impressive coverage for your expensive purchase.
All programs cover all Bontrager carbon wheels, whether purchased aftermarket or those that came stock your new Trek.
