Just last month, the Yuba Spicy Curry cargo e-bike got a sweet little update. Among the improvements to the long-tail cargo bike frame? Increased tire clearance. Not only doe that give you more room for fat slicks for increased comfort, support, and traction when hauling gear throughout the city, but it also allows Yuba to make a special All Terrain version as well…
Starting with the same aluminum frame, the Spicy Curry AT gets the new Bosch Cargo Line Speed motor and Powerpack 500 battery which provides assisted pedaling up to 28mph.
Changes for the AT model include the addition of an SR Suntour XCR32 80mm suspension fork with a thru axle – the Spicy Curry frame was just updated with thru axles at the rear as well.
Off-road riding on a cargo bike will likely be hard on wheels, so the AT includes wheels built to DB-32 double wall rims with 36 spokes front and rear. For tires, the Spicy Curry AT rolls on a Schwalbe Smart Sam Plus 26 x 2.25″ up front with a Smart Sam K Guard 20 x 2.3″ in the rear. Additional comfort is provided through a Cane Creek Thudbuster ST seat post with a WTB saddle and grips, and the Magura 4 piston/2 piston hydraulic brakes with 180mm rotors help keep the speed in check.
Like other Spicy Curry models, the AT includes front and rear AXA lights, a bell, the Deflopilator, and their dual kickstand. The bike is also able to be ordered with a number of accessories including their 2-Go, Adjustable Monkey Bars, Bread Basket, Carry-On, Hold Ons, and more.
