Looking to compress your kit and clothes for travel, yet still be able to access what’s inside those packing cubes? Our friends at Bluffworks have solved for both with their new Bluffcubes packing cubes.

Where most packing cubes use baffles that have to be zipped down or a narrow opening that’s then strapped and compressed, Bluffworks took a different approach. Actually, they combined the best features of others in a new way, using a separate side-access zipper that lets you pull something out without decompressing the contents. Take a look:

The adjustable compression strap lets you adjust the final size, and amount of compression. And from the looks of it, they’ll fit a few days or even a week’s worth of clothing inside. For bikepackers that need to maximize space and have quick access to a rain coat or something, it could be a great organizational packing tool.

They’re offered in ultralight (2.7oz large, 2.0oz small) Sport versions made with a hexagonal ripstop material. With five different colors, it’s also easy to color code by content so you can quickly grab only the bundle you need.

They’re on Kickstarter now, offering the Sport Set (one of each size) for just $38, with larger bundles of multiples in each size running from $54 to $118, and a Family Sport Kit for $150. Delivery planned for November 2020, and they’ve already done all of the development and have started production…the Kickstarter is basically just a way to reward you for getting in on it early, they’re going to make them regardless.
