SPECIALIZED: About 1,350 2010 26-inch Epic and 26-inch Era bicycles, manufactured in Taiwan and imported by Specialized Bicycle Components Inc. of Morgan Hill, Calif., because the shock absorber can make contact with the wheel spokes, posing a fall hazard. No incidents have been reported. The bikes were sold by authorized dealers around the country between September 2009 and October 2009. NIRVE: About 725 chopper-style Red Star, Skulls and Cannibal Chopper bicycles, manufactured in China and imported by Nirve Sports Ltd. of Huntington Beach, Calif., because the stem on the handlebars can crack, posing a fall hazard. The company has received reports of cracked stems, but no reports of injuries. The bikes were sold by the Nirve Sports showroom,and authorized dealers nationwide, as well as online, between December 2008 and April 2009.
