This photo was sent in by our friends at Lauf Forks, in Iceland, who had this to say about it: “This is actually in the middle of a Reykjavik suburb, just a few minutes ride away from downtown. One of the perks of living here! The waterfall’s name is ‘Kermóafoss’, and the canyon the waterfall is located in is called ‘Indjánagil’ which translates to Indian-Canyon.”

We love to see your photos and would like to show them to the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your photo with a brief description here.

I was in Reykjavik a few weeks back and I believe I saw the guys from Lauf ride by when we were in a restaurant. We’re already planning a return trip this winter for snowshoeing and the Northern Lights.

This is the ‘steep creekin” you can do when you realize you forgot to bring your kayak along…

Whitewater kayaking down waterfalls is called ‘steep creekin’ because waterfalls are pretty steep parts of creeks… 🙂
