For buyers eager to get on one of BlackHeart’s 2026 Road, Allroad, or Gravel AL frames, the future is now. A few days ago, the brand announced that a limited run of its AL framesets was available for early purchase, well ahead of full availability coming this spring. Quantities are very limited, with only one or two frames available depending on the model, size, and color. In fact, the Road and Gravel AL frames are almost sold out already, but there are some larger sizes, as well as most sizes of Allroad frames, still available.

While BlackHeart may be better known for its high-end Titanium frames, its AL models have also received high praise. Importantly, they offer the same attention to detail, quality craftsmanship, geometry, and similar aesthetics to their Ti siblings in a much more affordable package. The AL frames sell for ~$1,500 less than their Ti counterparts.

According to BlackHeart, “the new production carries over the same designs, but is hand-welded in a new factory using premium double-butted 6066 aluminum alloy — bringing BlackHeart AL frames in line with the best in the world.” BlackHeart’s previous AL frames were made using double-butted 7005 aluminum.

All of the new BlackHeart AL framesets feature T47 threaded bottom bracket shells, a SRAM UDH for drivetrain compatibility, and “fully integrated” cable routing. Each model is sold as a frameset and fork only, or in a wide range of SRAM and Shimano builds. Buyers also have the option to upgrade the fork and seatpost over the stock options. The early access frames are currently only available in the stock color options. Those interested in custom paint will need to wait until full availability in the spring.

2026 BlackHeart AL Frames: Availability

The pre-production run of BlackHeart’s Road, Allroad, and Gravel AL frames is available now. The limited number of frames appears to be selling fast, with some sizes sold out already, so if you’re interested in being one of the first to own one, you’ll want to act fast. If you miss out, don’t worry, BlackHeart’s AL frames will be available again in the spring in the full production run, along with the option for custom paint.

I guess, what am I missing? Exact same design, different aluminum, no details if new frames are lighter, stiffer or more durable… also limited colors? Don’t see the value proposition.

The worst thing is, I’d take 7005 over 6066 any day.

Hi Team BlackHeart, your website reads 47mm tire clearance for the frame, BR article reads 50mm….please confirm and update as needed.

Oh, I just noticed that, too. It says 50 mm on the 2026 AL landing page, but when you click through to the Gravel AL page, it lists 47 mm lower down and also lists 7005 as the frame material. Definitely a little confusing, but not the first brand to have conflicting info on their website…

I like how only one of the three colors shown is listed as “gray”, but they all look gray.
