Friday: Today is a point to point starting at Mt Bachelor ski resort at 6000 feet and ending at Little Lava Lake near our camp. From the trail head, we immediately drop into the deep hemlock forest heading toward Kwohl Butte. There is a hard climb up the butte, but the reward is the descent many locals call “the best in Central Oregon”. From Kwohl Butte to Little Lava Lake, the trail descends 2200′ in 7 miles. Lots of fast, open forest sections to fly through with technical lava rock gardens to keep everyone honest. Just as the trail mellows out, you are greeted with views of the lake and visions of beer and a dinner around the camp fire to coax you towards camp.
Mileage: 21 miles

Saturday: Today’s ride has some of the best singletrack of the trip. We will do a loop Starting and ending at our camp at Little Cultus Lake. We will have a picnic lunch at Charlton Lake with amazing views and crystal clear water perfect for swimming. We call this the Cascade lakes Loop for a reason; we also pass Lemish and Lily lakes during the ride. The final few miles will test your technical riding ability on a little-used trail with tricky rock gardens and root sections.
Mileage: 18 miles

Sunday: The final ride will put the icing on the cake of an incredible mountain bike weekend. From the trailhead at 6800 feet we descend into Bend at 3400 feet. Enjoy screaming descents among huge hemlock trees, traverse open alpine meadows with views into the Three Sisters Wilderness, and cross cold, babbling creeks fresh from the glaciers. Our ride of mostly downhill brings us to our completion point at Shevlin Park in Bend.
Mileage: 25 miles
