The Feedback Velo Hinge is incredibly simple in pairing a classic hook to hang your bike from its front wheel AND putting that hook on a hinge so you can angle the bike towards the wall to take up less space. Line a few up next to each other and you can flip through your bikes like they’re on a rolodex, without them always sticking 3 feet (a meter) out into the room.

Since we first spotted it at Interbike just over a decade ago, the original Velo Hinge has been a Feedback favorite for simple, efficient at-home bike storage. I mean who doesn’t want to show off their bike at home? Yet still easily hang it up and pull it off the wall to ride. Then, push it back against the wall to minimize lost space.

And now, Feedback gives the Velo Hinge 2.0 a few simple upgrades making it better than ever.

What’s new in version 2.0?

The new coated steel Feedback Velo Hinge 2.0 features a stiffer, stronger hinge body and a longer wheel hook. The new design uses a burlier full-length weld-reinforced hinge for “flex-free bike mounting” and smoother pivoting movement. It now boasts a “secure load capacity” of 50lb/22.7kg when you properly mount it into a stud or other secure wall fixture.

Then, the wider hook means you can now hook a 29″ Plus mountain bike tire up to 3″ wide. Or you can now fit deep section aero road wheels, up to 99mm deep when combining rim and tire overall depth.

For reference, the Zipp 303s with 2.25″ MTB tires on my 3T Extrema test bike are 99mm. 40mm tires on the same wheels are just 76mm. And 30mm road tires on DT ARC 50 wheels measure just 78mm deep overall.

The updated Velo Hinge 2.0 also adds grip tape to that top plate where your tire sits against the hinge for extra stability.

And there’s still the simple rear wheel bumper. But, now a bit larger to stabilize the bike against the way as you pivot, without skipping along the wall.

Mount the hinge in either direction to pivot your bike left or right, out of the way. And fold the hook flat when not in use storing a bike for a clean, uncluttered look.

So close, but for a complete redesign, why not go 10% higher to 55 pounds or so, and cover most full power e-bikes?

@DD, take the battery out and you are there.. Bikes belong in the garage. Get some hooks at Home Depot, done.

Bikes belong where the owner wants to keep his or her bikes.

That’s some good pricing! That 99mm wheel clearance is going to be really tight though (I think I’m at 98mm rim+tyre).

55 pounds undoubtedly set by paranoid lawyers. If a dinky steel hook with two inch shank will hold a 70 pound e-bike this thing will too.
