The 2010 Professional Mountain Bike Gravity Racing Tour has a few new tricks up its sleeve for the year, helping to expand the series and provide more racers with a chance at the prize pool with a new Amateur category and the Pro Privateer Award.  Here’s the word:

Amateur GRT! That’s right, for 2010, we’ll be implementing a GRT series for the Amateurs! At this time, it’ll only encompass the Cat 1 category (Expert) racers, but it’s a great start to a bright future for developing riders for the Pro GRT!

Pro Privateer Award! As with many non-factory professional mountain bike riders, the average Pro GRT racer will spend their own hard earned cash to pay for the basic essentials in order to participate in our series – airfare, fuel, lodging, food, accommodations & more. The Pro GRT wants to help support these individuals as much as possible by offering an award to help offset these costs.
