Chris King frequently uses their Open House event to launch a new color, and this year’s builder party got dark with a new deep satin-finish Midnight blue anodized option.
You’ll find the Chris King Midnight option on most of their hubs, headsets, and bottom brackets, plus a few limited-edition bonus items…
The new Chris King Midnight replaces Navy and Matte Slate and will be a permanent addition. They’ll start taking orders for components with the new color in November, with parts shipping in January 2, 2023.
The complete assortment for 2023 will be Black, Matte Black, Midnight, Silver, Red, Matte Turquoise, Gold, and Two Tone Black Gold.
It’ll be available on everything except the GripNut threaded headsets, and the R45 Rim Brake hubs as those only come in black and silver.
You’ll also find it on this RAL JS Loader handlebar bag. It’s made in Portland by Jack Supply Co. and uses a Midnight Blue Chris King headset cap as a button for the closure. It’s available through SimWorks for $119 and direct from Chris King.
Like last year, Chris King got a batch of Dynaplug Racer Pro tire plugger tools and color-matched those to the Matte Turquoise introduced in 2021. Now, you’ll find this new Midnight Dynaplug Racer Pro on Chris King’s website along this:
For those looking to go down the rabbit hole, they were also showing a Dynaplug “Red Pill” matched to Chris King’s red ano components and featuring their buzzing bee logo.
Both Dynaplug items will be sold exclusively through Chris King’s website at the links included in this post.
