betwixt-chamois-cream-reviewBIKERUMOR REVIEW: Betwixt Athletic Skin Lubricant & Chamois Cream is about as all-natural as you’ll get, and it works great.

Using all natural and many organic ingredients, Betwixt is a slippery, fairly long lasting chamois cream that feels slick without being greasy. It also has several moisturizing ingredients. In fact, after applying to my chamois or special areas, I’d usually just rub the rest in on my hands and elbows.

For those sensitive (physically or ethically) to certain ingredients, you’ll be happy to know that Betwixt has no parabens, petroleum or petroleum derivatives and is fragrance free. It’s also vegan and does no animal testing. Key ingredients are Green Tea Extract, organic Aloe Vera gel, B & E vitamins and Sweet Almond Oil, so it does double duty in keeping your skin healthy and chafe free.

During testing in both hot and cold rides (and everything in between), Betwixt kept the important things free of irritation and chafing. It’s a little, uh, squishy when you first put in on the chamois and pull your pants up and walk around, but once on the bike that weird feeling goes away.  After multi-hour rides, I could still feel it on my skin before showering, proof that it sticks around. It’s thick enough to apply easily, but not so thick that it requires any extra work to spread. If you’re looking for something that works well and is as good to your skin as the planet, give Betwixt a try. $21.95 for an 8oz tub, or $13.95 for 10 sample packs good for about two uses each.
