Looking for a better connection between your feet and the pedals? Shimano has a number of new shoes that should be up to the task. Called the GE & GF footwear lines, those letters stand for Gravity Enduro or Gravity Flat. As the names would suggest, the GE line is all clipless and the GF line is all flat to suit different riders’ needs in footwear.

Gravity Enduro Shoes

Calling it their flagship gravity race SPD shoe, the new GE900 includes a TORBAL 2.0 midsole “that allows the heel section to move torsionally, maintaining full range of motion for improved comfort, fluidity, and on-bike control.” The closure is a mixture of a BOA L6 dial and a large velcro strap, and there’s a neoprene ankle collar to keep out debris. On the bottom, you’ll find their ULTREAD GE outsole with an SPD cleat pocket for grip when clipped in, or not.

Best mix of stiffness, traction, and walkability ever made. Glad I’ve got a new pair stashed under the bed.

These look like really old people sneakers. And by old I mean proper old, smells like mungbeans all the time old.
