Introduced on the latest Stumpjumper, the Specialized Levo SL lightweight e-mountain bike now comes with their Genie rear shock for improved small bump compliance without giving up big hit support.

Basically, it’s two already-launched products combined to make a better bike. The 2nd gen Levo SL launched in May 2023 and is one of the lightest trail eMTBs on the market. It’s also a solid performer (read our review here) with 150mm travel and 160mm forks paired with a well-tuned and user-adjustable Horst Link suspension.

Note the active air volume in blue and how it loses access to the extra chamber in the outer sleeve once the piston passes 70% of its stroke.

Now, it’s getting the Genie shock, co-developed with Fox, which uses a two-stage air chamber that’s higher volume for the first part of the stroke, then gets smaller in the last 30% of travel to ramp up more quickly to prevent bottom out.

The Levo SL gets Genie shocks across the entire range (complete bike prices from $7,000 to $14,000 with alloy and carbon frame options), except for the coil shock-equipped Ohlins edition ($11,000).
